Each Zero West timepiece is designed and engineered to the highest standards. Unlike most other mechanical objects, a watch can operate non-stop, so in order to ensure optimal performance and longevity, please review these simple guidelines for care and precautions of your watch.
Keep your watch clean with a soft cloth and fresh water only. After any saltwater use, your timepiece should be rinsed clean and dried with a soft cloth including the strap. Do not scrub the surface of the strap with anything abrasive as this will damage it.
We advise having your timepiece serviced every 36 months to ensure longevity and trouble-free operation.
All Zero West watches are designed with a maximum water resistance rating of 10ATM (330ft/100m). The water resistance of the watch protects the movement from dust, moisture, and risk of damage should it be immersed in water.
Before contact with water ensure the crown is completely locked in its correct position. Failure to do so may cause a leak and damage the timepiece. For timepieces with chronograph functions, do not engage the chronograph under water as this may also cause damage.
It is important to avoid the following conditions: extreme heat or cold, as well as prolonged periods of exposure to direct sunlight.
Please remember your watch is a finely tuned time machine and a drop from any height could cause damage.
CHANGING STRAPS SHOULD BE DONE VERY CAREFULLY.
Use only the right tool like a Swiss Bergeon high quality springbar tool which is excellent, and never a knife!
