Andrew Brabyn: co-founder, artist and designer “I’ve always had a love of watches. In my teenage years at art college I collected and traded Swatch watches, which at the time were really shaking up the very stilted watch market. Those watches revolutionised the way we all saw the everyday watch with their use of clever design, affordable materials and technology. Today my tastes have changed and I collect and wear British and Swiss classics, but I still have some of my early collection to mark the tide change in the watch industry.”
Fast forward to today and with a successful career in advertising, graphics and branding for such brands as Yamaha motorcycles and Specialized bicycles and having a burning passion for design, art and watches, it was the right time to make my dream happen and form a partnership with Graham to develop our own British watch brand”
Our partnership stems from a great friendship and deep passion for British Design classics and achievement.
Born out of a love of beautiful watches combined with a lifetime of innovative design and engineering, it’s a simple and highly creative formula.
Graham Collins: co-founder, engineer and designer “My love of watches and all things mechanical started at an early age as I literally cut my teeth on my father’s classic Omega Constellation. Ten years on I stripped down my first prized boyhood automatic chronograph. It was a spectacular failure with parts of the movement whizzing past my ear, never to be refitted, but my love of watches, their movements and design has always fascinated me.”
“Today I’m an accomplished mechanical engineer with years of design, development and manufacturing experience and have been lucky enough to be involved in many successful projects including the Typhoon Eurofighter, Rolls-Royce aero turbines and high-end mobile phones to name a few.”
“I’m excited to be an integral part of conceiving and developing Zero West with Andrew. Together we make up a great multidisciplinary partnership sharing the same goals and design philosophy”
