At Zero West, we believe precision sits at the heart of horology. That is why we developed Chrono10, our proprietary mechanical watch testing and certification process, created for selected timepieces where accuracy and performance are a key part of the story.
Chrono10 is used on chosen Zero West watches, including the Longitude range, and reflects a particularly rigorous level of in-house testing and regulation.
Chrono10 is Zero West’s independent timing certification, designed to verify and document the performance of selected watches before they leave the studio.
The process includes multi-temperature testing at 8°C, 23°C and 38°C, along with six-axis testing to assess performance in different positions, as a watch would experience in everyday wear. Each movement is given time to stabilise at each stage to ensure reliable results.
Chrono10-certified watches are regulated to a strict accuracy threshold of -4/+6 seconds per day, with an Average Daily Rate target of just 2 seconds. To support that level of performance, these watches also feature a Glucydur balance wheel and Nivachron hairspring, chosen for their stability, precision and resistance to magnetic fields.
Every Chrono10-certified watch is accompanied by a personalised certificate detailing its individual test results and confirming its precision. Each one also carries a Chrono10 engraving on the case back, marking it as a watch that has met this elevated standard.
While many brands rely on third-party testing, Chrono10 is our way of taking greater control of quality assurance on selected models. It reflects our commitment to engineering excellence and gives owners added confidence that their watch has been tested and certified to an exceptionally high standard.
